Local Parks in Broadbeach

If you’re looking for a green space to take the kids to run and play or to have a family picnic there are several to choose from in Broadbeach.

Kurrawa Pratten Park located on the beachfront just south of Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club is know as an ‘All Abilities Playground’. It provides a unique and entertaining play space for kids of all ages with a Sandcastle Zone, an Undersea Zone, both with a seaside theme, and a Hill Zone.

The extensive parklands that line the foreshore along Broadbeach Beach are also a great spot to take the kids to play with green lawn spaces that stretch for kilometres. The pathways that wind through the parks are perfect for strolling or for kids learning how to ride a bike.

Nearby Cascade Gardens located on the Nerang River is one of the Gold Coast’s favourite family picnic and BBQ spots. The gardens feature serene rainforest walks, traces of aboriginal culture and and enclosed sanctuary for water birds.

Within the gardens you will discover the unique Kokoda Walk Memorial and the Queensland Korean War Memorial. The walk extends from the centre of Rotary Park in Cascade Gardens towards the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach.

Cascade Gardens also features a children’s playground that will keep the kids entertained for hours and a gazebo to take cover if the weather takes a turn for the worse.
